ITEK Announces Strategic Expansion to the Dominican Republic, Strengthening its Nearshoring Platform for the Life Sciences Industry

SAN JOSÉ, Costa Rica – September 15, 2025 – ITEK, a leading Costa Rican provider of Manufacturing as a Service (MaaS) solutions for the medical device and technology industry, today announced the expansion of its operations with a new manufacturing plant in the Dominican Republic. The facility is expected to be operational during the first quarter of 2026 and will be strategically located in the San Isidro Free Trade Zone in Santo Domingo Este.

This strategic expansion is a natural evolution of ITEK's vision to build a world-class manufacturing corridor. By complementing its operations in Costa Rica, the company now offers an even more robust and diverse nearshoring platform, optimizing the supply chain and enabling medical device companies to efficiently scale their production. Under the Manufacturing as a Service (MaaS) model, ITEK assumes the complexity of manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory compliance, freeing our clients —from startups to established OEMs— to focus on innovation and market access.
